INTRODUCTION
A very warm welcome to all who use this web site!
My name is Peter Kemp and I am the Chairman of the Hillingdon Independent Wheelchair User Group.
You will probably see why we adopted the nickname of HIWUG; it’s much quicker to write.
There are 3500 registered NHS wheelchair users in this Borough. We feel it of great importance to bring HIWUG on to the World Wide Web in order to make it easier for people to know about our work and us.
We hope you will enjoy reading about our work and we hope you will contact us if we can be of any help to you, or even share ideas with us.
If there are any areas of work you would like to know more about, or even take part in, we will do our best to accommodate your wishes.
We would very much like to get to know as many wheelchair users in the Hillingdon area and encourage you to enrol as members.
The membership costs a whole £1.00 per annum. The membership entitles you to four newsletters each year, and voting rights at our AGM. After being a member for one year, you would then be eligible to apply for membership of our executive committee by election at an AGM.
I personally look forward to meeting as many new members as the group grows.
